Dear Families,
We are all so glad that the state writing assessment is over! The kids really seemed to feel confident, so that is fantastic news!
We are going on a field trip this week - be sure your child has turned in his or her permission slip for that. We are going to Elachee to learn more about animals in the local area. The folks at Elachee have created a fun new hands-on program! We are going in two groups. My homeroom is going from 9 am til 11 am with students in Mrs. Weiser's and Ms. Denly's homerooms. That afternoon, students will watch Remember the Titans. You have already signed a permission silp for that :)

Tues, 3/11 My homeroom library visit; Civil Rights poster "quiz"
Thurs, 2/13 Field Trip to Elachee, 9 am
Fri, 2/28 Modern America social studies test; Middle Eastern Conflicts maps due

We pushed off Shurley English to allow students more time to work on their essays. Mr. Bryan will begin teaching Chapter 12 of Shurley English! We will test next Tuesday. Our main focus will be on pronouns and their antecedents, as well as a review of patterns 1-4.
